Emma is an artist, illustrator and curator, working and living in London. She illustrates real life in watercolour, from food, drinks, animals and swimming, to her beloved Tooting Bec Lido. Emma’s abstract work is mostly in acrylic on canvas, wood and found objects. She also takes regular commissions for pet portraits and personalised lido paintings.
More recently Emma has been developing accessing her subconscious in order to connect with a higher level of consciousness, for, ultimately, a greater purpose. In doing so her work is becoming more connected with the immaterial contents of another, higher world. Her work serves to heal and provide positive energy flow for the viewer.
Emma trained in graphic design and spent 10 years working in branding and advertising, before starting to pursue painting and illustration in 2012. After the sell-out success of her first solo show ATLANTIC, inspired by her sailing across the Atlantic Ocean in 1991, she has not looked back. Her second successful solo show JOURNEY was held in 2019 at the Gallery in Delta House Studios.
Emma is also the founder and curator of the hugely successful The London Art Sale, formerly the 33 Art Sale, which raises funds for charities whilst supporting the participating artists. To date she has raised over £100k for the Rural Refugee Network, Children on The Edge, South London Cares and the National Youth Arts Trust.
